Hello, my name is Breana Morrey. I was forced into the decision of going to AMES. My mom thought it would be a good idea and my sister agreed with her. I thought if I didn't fill out the form then there would be no way that I was accepted. I later found out that my mom filled out the whole form for me. When we were called my sister and I were on the waiting list. I was number 62 and my sister was number 12. I really hoped that everyone who got in wanted to go to the school. Of course this wasn't true. My sister was accepted and since we are twins, I got accepted. I really hated the whole idea. I wasn't able to go to the welcoming event they held so on my first day I was lost. I was listening to other peoples conversations and this group of girls were talking about how if you fail your classes then you get kicked out. I knew from that moment on that was the only way I could get out of this school. At the end of the semester, I had failed three classes and was pulled into the principles office. They told me if I didn't pass all of classes from now on then I would have to leave. They also told my mom about my grades. When I got home that day she told me if I didn't start caring about my grades then she was going to move me to Cyprus High School. I would of chose AMES over Cyprus because at Cyprus I would be bullied. The kids there always tell me that i was never good enough and that I was dumb because of my disability's. Although I did pretty well in Middle School. I will always be appreciative that my mom forced me into going into AMES. It has helped a lot with my education and studying skills.
